Centroid of T-Section and other Geometrical Figures

Hmmm…Back from University today after the exam! Today was the Engineering Mechanics Exam. To tell the truth – From among all the other exams, this was the best! I mean everything – and I mean everything was from lectures! And seniors are so uncooperative! They should have told us na?

I did mess up in one part of one question, but as Sir Zubair (Engineering Mechanics Professor) said – He'll just check the concepts. So, I'll get marks!

For all those last minute preparers, I'll just document the method to calculate the centroid of some geometrical figures (T-Section here):

"Now the thing to keep in mind here is that:"

  • x (bar) is the distance from the extreme left.
  •  y(bar) is distan! ce from& #160;extreme top.
  • It is not necessary to keep the Extreme Top and Extreme Left every time, but I want to keep things simple, so I've made it a standard.

This done – I'd like to proceed with the other events – Home, sleep, internet and then sleep again! :)
